Oh my goodness this little place is the most beautiful place we have ever been to. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, everything was perfect. The amazing reception we got on arrival - the best... these two gentlemen were so friendly and very helpful. The room was stunning and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was beautiful clean and warm. The staff were top notch and our waitress was pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Complements to the Chef for an outstanding meal, well presented and my chops cooked to perfection. We will definitely visit again and we have already told our friends of a must stay at Karoo 1 Hotel. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable.

The house is well laid out with enough rooms for several couples or a big group of friends. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are multiple bathrooms allowing many people to shower etc simultaneously. While the owners live in close proximity, we didn’t hear or see them, despite playing our music loudly. This gave us a feeling of being alone, despite the presences of others on the farm. We loved making a bonfire and watching the sunset and sunrise from the deck. The hiking trails are also great, and if it gets hot you can swim in one of the dams. Phenomenal experience overall

Most beautiful natural reserve perfectly suited for people who seek to detox, disconnect and embrace solitude in the wild. Much more sustainable (and in our opinion : real) than a private game reserve. Most cabins come with an outdoor hot tub that allows you to watch shooting stars at night until you’re ready to fall into your bed. The family running the place takes great care of their guests and even more so of ensuring the estate, and its flora & fauna keep blossoming. Bravo!

Amazing view across the valley and wonderfully appointed property with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Communications were good and we really enjoyed the large lasagne and salad we had asked for on our arrival. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning at the restaurant across the road.

I loved the location, the room, the hosts and the peaceful ambiance of the location. The whole atmosphere was relaxing . The hosts were great, then invited us to join hem for a glass of wine after we had settled in and they also offered us dinner, which was delicious. The lady of the house also brought us some fresh laid eggs ans dome vegetables from their garden, which I turned into 2 delicious omlettes. We were not charged for any of the extras that we received.
