We were received by the owner personally who was very friendly and welcoming. We booked a single room, but Hester upgraded our booking to a self service cottage with excellent facilities. Breakfast was included in our booking and we still had the privilege of enjoying our breakfasts. Hester's husband also gave us an tour of the fossil museum, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A supper were offered at a very fair price, which we accepted and it was delivered to our cottage. Very tasty Karoo tripe and a chicken potjiekos.

Featuring free WiFi, Denmark Farm Stay is situated along the R61 road, 30 km from Cradock and 100 km away from Graaff-Reinet. The Mountain Zebra National Park is 20 km away. The room is spacios and has all the necessary amenities: towels, shampoo, coffee amd tea. It is nicely and tastefully decorated. The owners are really friendly and we had an opportunity to have an interesting chat with them! Thank you for your hospitality!

Rustic farmhouse experience, just what we needed. Would love to stay for a week with friends or family. The optional dinner and breakfast we decided to take was delicious and the instructions how to prepare the food, was a nice touch. Definitely need a 4x4 to get to the cottage.

Set on a working farm near Haga-Haga, OppiePlaas Self Catering Country Cottage offers self-catering accommodation and bed and breakfast rooms. Oppie plaas is a lovely location. It is a working farm, so there are some farm smells. The owners are super friendly and attentive to their guests' needs. The pizza's are fantastic, wood fired and tasty.

Set in the rural village of Bathurst, Kingston Farm offers accommodation on a working appaloosa and duck farm. Featuring BBQ facilities, the property also has a bar on site. What a great place to stay over! Our guests were so friendly! After a coffee with self baked cake we took a refreshing dive in the pool. Afterwards we could enjoy an amazing diner (the hostess is a chef!) with a splendid wine. Our accomodation was very clean. It had a seperate kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms with a super large master bedroom with views on the garden. We had a lovely stay. Just what we needed on our road trip to Cape Town. Very much worth a visit.

Pabala Private Nature Reserve is situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape and just 20 minutes' drive off the N2 highway. This place is absolutely amazing! Literally superb!!

Nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Zuurberg Mountains, this working citrus farm offers self-catering cottages and chalets. It is 5km from the Addo Elephant National Park. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Top notch.
